Monster Productions of New Orleans and W3Z Hotline Internet Radio are putting on a Benefit for Fernie Ortega. He has Pancreatic and Kidney Cancer which is now at Stage 4. This will be held at Hurricane's Sports Bar at 1414 Veterans Blvd in Metairie, La. On May 15th starting at 2pm CDT. There will be raffles of a Guitar and music equipment and signed photos from members of different bands.

I moved to New Orleans in 1989, from California, I enjoyed the history and the music of the south,the all year round French quarter, the jazz festivals, strawberry festivals all of it! The bands that are great from here: Down, Crowbar,,.EHG,Goat Whore , they all mean something to me.As I'm also somewhat related to the backyard blues band from California which are a offspring off the Ritchie Valens, La Bamba.
