It was time to tape our first
remade show. It was the starting of Lights Out. We had a new set, a
new band, and couple of new faces. Instead of Paul Waffer as the side
kick, we had a new person named Kevin O'Brian. He also played the
bongos instead of the keyboard.

At the beginning of the show Mike
walks out and says "Welcome to Lights Out! If you didn't hear, Late
Night and Michael Number are dead. It was terrible, it just crept up
on them and that was it. I believe that they died of National
Broadcasting Cancer, NBC!

On the first show Mike had a live
demonstration for hair replacement by American Hairlines, where they
shaved Mikes hair off and gave him a head of new hair and a new look.
This was the first time that this demonstration was done on national
TV. Mike also had Actor Jim Beaver on as a guest. Jim had just
finished filming a movie with Bruce Willis that was called, In
Country.

The show was taped in front of a
studio audience of about 100 students and
was about 30 minutes long. We
also taped the second show after the conclusion of the first because
we were still fighting with the Radio Television Film Department for
studio time.
On the second show, Mike
interview some local Dallas Actors/Producers that were working on an
independent film. He had local Musician Tony Devine perform, and a
taped interview with Evander (The Real Deal) Holyfield.
